Festival ECRÃ

Os ecrãs são telas restritas. Se quebrarmos os limites, a luz, a projeção, os pixels, os frames, tudo escapa e se espalha. Começam a escorrer para fora e a ocupar de forma diferente e incontrolável espaços e mentes. A infinidade de possibilidades surge, nem sempre se sabe explicar, apenas observar, absorver, interagir, sobrepor e urgir. Cria-se uma nova esperança de novos meios, formatos, dispositivos e oportunidades daquilo que pode ser visto e feito.

O FESTIVAL ECRÃ é um evento de Arte e Cinema Experimental que, através de experiências que questionam a noção e a produção da imagem em movimento, busca estimular a cultura do audiovisual. Ao exibir Filmes, Games, Instalações, Artes Interativas, Performances e Videoartes, o ECRÃ incentiva novos formatos de produção e exibição dessas obras.

Ecrans are restricted screens. If we break the limits, the light, the projection, the pixels, the frames, everything escapes and spreads. They begin to flow out and occupy spaces and minds in a different and uncontrollable way. The infinity of possibilities arises, it is not always possible to explain, just observe, absorb, interact, overlap and urge. New hope is created for new means, formats, devices and opportunities for what can be seen and done.

FESTIVAL ECRÃ is an Experimental Art and Cinema event that, through experiences that question the notion and production of the moving image, seeks to stimulate audiovisual culture. By showing Films, Games, Installations, Interactive Arts, Performances and Videoarts, ECRÃ encourages new formats for the production and exhibition of these works.
