The world of work is facing a major transformation. The crisis brought on by the pandemic has accelerated several predictions that had been announced by the UN with Agenda 2030 and by the ILO in the centennial declaration. The technological development has reached the structure of the labor contract, bringing in the intermediation between the worker and the employer a controlling entity of the negotiations: the algorithm. SIDTSS and ABDT are promoting in partnership the XII Regional American Congress of Labor and Social Security Law and the XII International Congress of the Brazilian Academy of Labor Law with the theme: "Democracy and Labor: Dialogues for a New Social Market Economy" intended to discuss and allow reflection on issues that are indiscriminately affecting all countries of the world in their social, economic, international and regional relations: the pandemic allowed the world to see that the labor force is the driving force of global development. The human being must be the center of all actions, and the measures adopted by the countries must consider universal cooperation, the exchange of reliable information, and global solidarity. With this aggregating spirit this gathering of great jurists and thinkers hopes to contribute to the formation of a new model that can lead to global cooperation and the development of a social right of the same nature.
