Descrição

The Teaching, Research and Extension Project on Crimes Against Women (https://www.instagram.com/crimufmg/) was created in 2019 by a group of university students from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) who felt there was a lack of a space for reporting and confronting gender violence within this institution. Thus, the proposal of this event  is to deepen the discussions and knowledge through  a Two-Day Workshop: Protection of Children and Youth, which will take place virtually on June 24 and 25 at 7pm (Brazil Time)/ 5pm (Chicago Time), with the participation of renowned professionals from various areas of expertise, representing their respective geographical location.

Given the context of the Pandemic, the activities will be developed remotely (via Virtual Platform), in order to preserve the health and welfare of the members. Moreover, the event will happen in English in order to bring together professionals from different countries, as well as being accessible to students from different universities.

Finally, the course will be developed in partnership with the UNA-CHICAGO (https://unachicago.org/), a membership organization dedicated to inform, inspire, and mobilize the American people to support the ideals and vital work of the United Nations.

The target audience is undergraduate and graduate students, professors and professionals interested in the topic.

The event will be held in 2 days, each of those containing 3 speakers and having an average duration of 1.5 hours.

The dynamics of discussion will be through 3 discussion topics that will be presented in advance to the speakers, allowing an open discussion by them:
