LGW's Spirit and Science World Forum - 2021

With the fraternal participation of renowned religious representatives and scientists, the Forum will address fundamental aspects of life and profound questions such as: What happens after death? How can we explain memories of previous lives? What is the nature of human soul?

During the LGW’s Spirit and Science World Forum, you will find an ecumenical space for dialogue between different areas of knowledge that will provide information and comfort to those experiencing challenging moments and those who want to delve deeper into these topics.

The Forum will take place in Brazil, and most of the talks will be in Portuguese. Simultaneous translation into English and Spanish will be provided.

PROGRAMMING

October 19, 2021 (Tuesday)

Dr. Raymond Moody – American psychiatrist and a Doctor of Philosophy. He is a professor of Psychology at the University of West Georgia and the author of Life After Life.

Helané Wahbeh – ND, MCR, director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University, in the USA. She was recently named President of the Parapsychological Association.

Sister Andréa de Jesus – Ecumenical preacher of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Ramon Moraes Penha – Adjunct professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. He has a master's degree in Nursing and is a Ph.D. in Science from the Graduate Program in Adult Healthcare Nursing of the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo.

Rodrigo Alvarez – Journalist and writer. He was a Rede Globo correspondent and in 2020 published Christ, the second volume in the series “Jesus – The Most Loved Man in History.”

Ramon Moraes Penha — Adjunct professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. He has a master's degree in Nursing and is a Ph.D. in Science from the Graduate Program in Adult Healthcare Nursing of the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo.

October 20, 2021 (Wednesday)

Dr. Jim B. Tucker – Bonner-Lowry Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, United States, where he is carrying on the research started by Dr. Ian Stevenson with children who have reported memories of previous lives, as well as natal and prenatal memories.

Sandra Maciel – Psychologist pursing her Ph.D. in the Research Center in Spirituality and Health (NUPES) at the Medical School of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Brazil. She has specialization courses in chemical dependence from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and psychanalysis from the Center for Higher Education of Juiz de Fora (CES/JF).

Maria das Graças Nascimento – Coordinator of the Interfaith Movement of the Theosophical Society of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Renato Prieto – Actor and theater director. He is known for having played the role of André Luiz (Spirit) in the movie “Nosso Lar,” a cinema adaptation of the psychographic book with the same title written by the Good Will Legionnaire Chico Xavier.
