Rafael Antiquera

With a background in Mechatronics Engineering, a MBA from Ross School of Business and an IoT Certificate from MIT, Rafael Antiquera has been working in the technology sector for almost 15 years in various roles such as product development, program management and marketing. Throughout his career he has worked in Brazil, Germany, United States, and has moved to Canada in 2018 as the Head of Corporate Business Development for Bosch. As part of the Canada Leadership team, he is focusing on driving growth and innovation initiatives for the company in the region.

Zeeshan Ali

Zeeshan supports the identification and addition of new enterprise clients to the MaRS Venture Services and Partner Solution Group practices, respectively. He's focused on creating meaningful and sustainable relationships and helping organizations both adopt and adapt to innovation and emerging technologies across MaRS core clusters, including Cleantech, Fintech, Health, Enterprise and Platforms. Prior to joining MaRS, Zeeshan held a senior position at Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., a North American diversified generation, transmission and distribution utility with over $12 billion in total assets. Zeeshan led the corporate development team to acquire and develop $3 billion in energy infrastructure assets. Zeeshan is a Charted Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator. He holds a degree in commerce from the University of Toronto.

Carmen Douville

Carmen works closely with the founding partners refining the vision and creating a comprehensive plan for Factory6ix. Factory6ix is a purpose-built incubator supporting businesses with the integration of advanced manufacturing, hardware and electronics facilities. Carmen’s experience is far-reaching as a designer, entrepreneur, educator, business consultant, and economic developer. She has over 15 years of experience in the entrepreneurship community as a part of the inaugural leadership team of Artscape Daniels Launchpad, Canada’s first creative entrepreneurship incubator, co-founder of Loyal Loot, an internationally recognized Canadian furniture and accessories business, and adjunct Industrial Design professor at the University of Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Design from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Science from the University of Edinburgh. 

Gregory Da Re

Greg Da Re is the Regional Director for Ontario at Invest in Canada. With extensive experience in banking, strategy, technology and consulting, he is responsible for helping business invest with confidence in Canada. Greg joined Invest in Canada from RBC Ventures where he helped lead the development of new ventures to help entrepreneurs and businesses thrive through investments and strategic partnerships with leading technology companies. Prior to RBC, Greg was the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for the Inter-American Investment Corporation (now IDBInvest) in Washington DC, the private sector focused part of the Inter-American Development Bank that promotes sustainable economic development throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Greg holds advances degrees in civil and environmental engineering from MIT and the University of California, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo.

Marco Knabben

The event counts on the moderation of Marco Knabben. Graduated in Mechatronics Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Marco Knabben has been working for Bosch Brazil in Curitiba since 2011 in areas like technical sales, organizational development and marketing. In 2018 he joined the Innovation team as business developing processes for user research, ethnography and lean startup methodology. In May of 2020, he took over the responsibility for the community management for the Curitiba Connectory.
